MEET PHIL HURRLE

I'm Phil Hurrle, a Somatic Practitioner based in Bali, Indonesia. Throughout my diverse journey I discovered my passion for self-mastery and optimizing my mind/body/spirit connection through fitness, nutrition, yoga, and meditation.

Seeking further growth, I moved to India for a number of years to immerse myself in various yoga lineages and then spent a transformative year at a musculoskeletal clinic, learning an incredibly impactful functional mobility training program. I'm now one of the few outside India to teach this method.

Since then, I have traveled the world extensively and learned from renowned teachers and practitioners. I specialize in supporting individuals with chronic pain, systemic tension, emotional stress, and those seeking to upgrade their overall well-being. As a former high-level athlete, I also assist professional and amateur athletes of all kinds optimize their performance.

I practice and teach many different healing modalities that blend into a cohesive system. These modalities work harmoniously to promote holistic health, and once learned, most can be self-administered.

I guide individuals to live in alignment with their mind, body and spirit, enabling them to reach their Highest Possible Outcome. Anything else is a waste of time, of life.

I’ve also had my share of struggles. I had and overcame every single one of the symptoms listed below. I didn't know it at the time, but each one has been an incredible learning experience that has shaped who I am today and I'm grateful for every one of them.

WHAT IS A SOMATIC PRACTITIONER?

I call myself a Somatic Practitioner–so what the heck does that even mean? A somatic practitioner is a professional who works with the body and its sensations to promote healing, self-awareness, and overall well-being. "Somatic" refers to the body, and somatic practices focus on the connection between the mind and body. Somatic practitioners recognize the importance of the body in shaping our experiences, emotions, and behaviors.

Somatic practitioners work in a wide range of fields, including bodywork, movement therapies such as yoga, pilates or Eastern practices such as Tai Chi or Qi-Gong. Meditation and breathwork can also be considered somatic therapies and there are many other methods that fit into this category. They often help individuals explore and release physical pain and tension, trauma, or stress held in the body and help to foster a greater sense of general health.
